It’s a rural backdrop film, Lenin(Akhil) is an orphan who becomes part of the Eswari Rao family after his heroic act during the Draupadi festival to get it started.
The film is set against Draupadi festival Bharatam Mitra in 1990’s it’s a popular festival in Rayalaseema village Chandragiri, Lenin (Akhil) family are custodians of the temple and organizers of Thirunallu.
During festive days Akhil falls in love with Bharathi (Bhagyashri Borse), and a lot of politics involved with Bharatam Mitra festival with Sivaji vying for Dharamraj title by leading the festive procession, local MLA trying to get control of village and festive activities.
Eswari Rao son Vasant (Pramod Panju) returns to the village after completing his education to start his hospital in the village.
The rest of the story is why Vasanth’s marriage with Vaidehi (Bharathi sister) didn’t go as per the plan, Vasant fondness for Bhagya Sri Borse and how it’s intertwined with family/village politics and eventual gory tussle of Lenin (Akhil) and Vasant (Pramod Panju) for Bharathi(Bhagyasri Bhorse)
Production values are top notch, Thaman score is good.
Bhaskar Batla song Yetta Yetta, Anath Sriram VaareeVaa VaareVaa song standout with good picturisation and music.
Most of the story revolves around the legend Draupadi temple, Bharatam Mitra festival religious beliefs and sentiments.
Akhil in his rustic role is outstanding with Rayalaseema slang performed well in action,romance and sentiment episodes.Vasanth(Pramod) did well showing different shades during the course of the film, akkagari ghatam (Climax episode) is gory with bloodshed, stunts when Akhil gets in to revenge mode with Pramod for the love of Bharathi.The film is narrated in flashback mode till the Climax block.
Eswari Rao, Sunil, Brahmaji and Vadlamani Srinivas performed well with cameos to drive the narration forward.
Sivaji performed well in a crucial role.
Getup Seenu as the hero sidekick is okay, Bramhaji did well being part of the villain gang and stood out in crucial episodes.
Bhagyashri Borse has got a meaty role and did well in glamorous,songs and deep love scenes.
Director Murali Kishore succeeded in telling a larger than life story using a festive rustic backdrop which involved love,betrayals,revenge and local politics.
Love war is greater than all other wars.
