Vinod Kumar, who carved a special place in the hearts of Telugu audiences with films such as “Kartavyam, Mouna Poratam, Bharat Bandh, People’s Encounter, Maavagaaru, and Seetharatnam Gari Abbayi, is known not only for his performances as a hero but also for his warm and generous nature.
He has always shared a special bond with the people who have worked with him, treating his staff and admirers with affection, respect and genuine concern.
His recent gesture once again reflects the kind of person he is.
Satish, a resident of Tadepalligudem, worked with Vinod Kumar for nearly 20 years as his personal assistant and personal touch-up boy. He later moved to Tadepalligudem, where he settled down and is currently involved in running a security-guard agency, besides managing a hospital owned by his friend.
Despite the passage of time, Vinod Kumar has remained in regular touch with Satish.
Recently, Vinod Kumar visited Tadepalligudem for the shooting of his upcoming film titled “Paradesi”. During his stay, he specifically called Satish over and spent time talking to him. He then went to Satish’s home, spent more than two hours with his family and accepted their hospitality.
Going a step further, Vinod Kumar gave ₹20,000 to Satish’s mother and asked her to buy clothes for herself.
The gesture left Satish deeply emotional as he recalled his long association with the actor.
“I worked with Vinod Kumar garu for 20 years. He never treated me like a worker. Not just me, he shows the same affection and respect towards everyone who works with him. Due to family circumstances, I moved to Tadepalligudem and settled here, but our bond has remained unchanged.
“He calls me two or three times every month to enquire about our well-being. Every year, he sends money for our entire family to buy clothes. Two years ago, when I underwent bypass surgery, he sent me ₹50,000.
“Now, the fact that he came to Tadepalligudem for a shoot, visited our home and spent more than two hours with us made me extremely happy. He even called me to the shooting spot and had me do his touch-up, just as I used to do earlier.
“I will always feel proud that I had the opportunity to work with a great human being like Vinod Kumar garu. He also told me that they are planning to introduce his son as a hero soon.
“Vinod Kumar garu’s son grew up in front of me. I sincerely wish that he becomes an even bigger hero than his father.”
Vinod Kumar’s visit may have been a simple gesture in his eyes, but for Satish and his family, it became an unforgettable moment—one that beautifully reflects the value he continues to place on relationships, long after professional associations have ended.
