Grand Birthday Celebrations for Director S.V. Krishna Reddy
S.V. Krishna Reddy is a director who has created many family-friendly films and delivered unforgettable blockbusters to the Telugu film industry. In his 32-year career, S.V. Krishna Reddy has made 42 evergreen movies.
His birthday celebrations were grandly held yesterday at FNCC in Hyderabad. Srikanth, Aamani, Indraja, Laya, Ali, Shivaji Raja, Tanikella Bharani, Brahmanandam, Chandrabose, Ravali, Rajendra Prasad, Roja, Murali Mohan, Bandla Ganesh, and others participated in the event.
Hero Srikanth said, “There are two directors who stood like pillars and established me as a hero… one is E.V.V. Satyanarayana, and the other is S.V. Krishna Reddy. I acted as Arjuna in the film ‘Ghatotkachudu’. That was our first film together. After that, I did ten more films like ‘Vinodam’, ‘Egire Pavurama’, ‘Ahwanam’. All his films were very helpful in my growth as a hero.”
Actor Ali said, “‘Yamaleela’ is a film I can never forget in my life. These two are synonymous with friendship. S.V. Krishna Reddy Garu is a director who established the careers of many actors, just like me.”
Actor Tanikella Bharani said, “My acting career should be referred to as ‘before Yamaleela’ and ‘after Yamaleela’. I gained a lot of recognition as Thota Ramudu in that film. Acting in S.V. Krishna Reddy Garu’s films is an unforgettable experience.”
Lyricist Chandrabose said, “S.V. Krishna Reddy Garu is like an elder in our family. He gave me many opportunities and encouraged me. S.V. Krishna Reddy also gave me the opportunity to write all the songs in a film. Our family will always remember him.”
Producer Bandla Ganesh said, “Talking about S.V. Krishna Reddy Garu is like talking about my father. Even though I didn’t know acting, he gave me an opportunity in the film ‘Vinodam’ and encouraged me. He taught me how to be and how not to be in the industry. After continuing as an actor, I became a producer because of Pawan Kalyan Garu. My life changed in an unexpected way.”
Actor Brahmanandam said, “Even though I had an important event at home today, I came here. I felt I would be wrong if I didn’t participate in Krishna Reddy Garu’s birthday event, so I came. Such is our bond with him. Krishna Reddy Garu and Achireddy Garu are like Rama and Lakshmana.”
Actress Laya said, “I am very happy to have had the opportunity to work under S.V. Krishna Reddy Garu’s direction. Now, if I get another chance, I would like to act under his direction again.”
Actress Indraja said, “Whenever I speak on any platform, I first thank S.V. Krishna Reddy Garu. If not for him, I wouldn’t have the name Indraja, nor a career as a heroine. I think Krishna Reddy Garu is an angel sent by God for me.”
Producer Achireddy said, “S.V. Krishna Reddy took inspiration from director K.V. Reddy Garu. S.V. used to call himself an Ekalavya student of Director Ratna Dasari Garu. I encouraged S.V., telling him he would become a director. He made great films in our combination. I am proud that almost all the families who worked in our movies have continued in the industry for nearly 40 years. It makes me happy that all of them came to our S.V.’s birthday celebrations.”
Actor and Producer Murali Mohan said, “Even if S.V. Krishna Reddy Garu made a small film, it would achieve a huge success. The fact that everyone who came to his birthday celebrations today is speaking so emotionally is a testament to S.V. Krishna Reddy Garu’s goodness and great personality.”
Actor Rajendra Prasad said, “I am a person who was very proud to see S.V. Krishna Reddy’s growth. S.V. Krishna Reddy made many great films, unrelated to one another. Telugu people worldwide still talk about those films.”
Actress Aamani said, “If E.V.V. Garu gave birth to me as a heroine in the industry, S.V. Krishna Reddy Garu raised me. Audiences still ask about ‘Subhalagnam’, the movie I acted in under his direction. I consider it my fortune to have acted under his direction.”
Actress Roja said, “‘Subhalagnam’, the movie I did under S.V. Krishna Reddy Garu’s direction, will forever remain memorable in my career. Incidents like selling a husband for one crore rupees are happening in society today. This shows how forward-thinking Krishna Reddy Garu’s creativity was.”
Director S.V. Krishna Reddy said, “People are saying I gave opportunities to many. But they are inherently talented individuals. Through my movies, their talent became even more known to the audience. Other than that, I didn’t do anything special for them. I want to express my gratitude to Achireddy Garu, who has encouraged me from the beginning and stood by me as a support. Also, thanks to Rajendra Prasad Garu, who acted as a hero and gave me the opportunity for my first movie.”
