2025 National film awards

Telugu cinema has made its mark at the national awards given annually by the Government of India. At the 71st National Awards, Nandamuri Balakrishna’s film Bhagavanth Kesari won the Best Telugu Film award.

Kasarla Shyam was selected for Best Lyrics for the song “Ooru Palletooru” from the movie Balagam.

The films Baby and Hanuman also made a big impact at these awards. Sukriti, daughter of famous director Sukumar, will receive the Best Child Artist award for Gandhi Thatha Chettu, and Sai Rajesh will receive the National Award for Best Screenplay for the film Baby.

Shah Rukh Khan was selected as Best Actor, and Rani Mukerji as Best Actress.
