In the semi final played yesterday, Australia batted first and posted a hefty total of 338 runs in 49.5 overs.
India chased it down, making 341/5 in 48.3 overs, thereby pulling off the highest successful run-chase in Women’s ODI history.
The match was played at the Dr DY Patil Stadium, Navi Mumbai.
The hero for India: Jemimah Rodrigues scored an unbeaten 127 off 134 balls.
Captain Harmanpreet Kaur also contributed significantly (89 runs) during a pivotal 167-run partnership with Rodrigues.
With this win, India advanced to the final where they will face the South Africa women’s cricket team on Sunday (Nov 2nd 25)
