Vijay Announces Scholarships for 9th and 10th Grade Students
Actor Vijay Deverakonda, who recently entered married life, visited his native village Thummanpeta along with his wife Rashmika Mandanna and family members. Thumman Peta, located in Balmur mandal of Nagarkurnool district, is Vijay’s hometown. After his wedding, this was his first visit to the village with his family.
The villagers of Thummanpeta gave a grand welcome to Vijay and his family. Vijay performed the Satyanarayana Swamy Vratham with Rashmika at his ancestral home in the village. The family also hosted a wedding feast for the local residents.
Speaking on the occasion, Vijay Deverakonda said that he felt very happy to celebrate his wedding in his native village. He thanked everyone who blessed the couple. He added that he wishes to undertake many good initiatives for the development of the village and plans to accomplish them one by one. He mentioned that his family owns a house and agricultural land in the village and said he would visit more frequently in the future.
He also announced that, through the Vijay Deverakonda Charitable Trust, scholarships will be provided to 9th and 10th grade students studying in 44 government schools in the Achampet division.
