Carmeni Selvam is a story of a middle-class family and it will connect with middle-class families

Produced by Arun Rangarajulu under the Pathway Productions banner and directed by Ram Chakri, the bilingual film “Carmeni Selvam” has been made in Telugu and Tamil. Versatile actor Samuthirakani plays the lead role, while Gautham Vasudev Menon appears in a key role. Lakshmi Priya and Abhinaya also play important roles. The film is set for a grand theatrical release on April 3 in both Telugu and Tamil. It will be distributed by PVR Inox Pictures. The already released first look poster and teaser have created interest, and the trailer launched on Thursday has further raised expectations with its family emotions and a storyline connected to current trends.

The trailer launch event was held in Hyderabad. Telugu directors who have worked with Samuthirakani, “Vimanam” fame Shiva Prasad, “Ramam Raghavam” fame Dhanraj, and “Save the Tigers” fame Teja Kakumanu attended as guests.

Director Shiva Prasad of “Vimanam” said, “When we think of a middle-class father character, the first name that comes to mind is Samuthirakani garu. Looking at this story, it seems to revolve around money. This film will connect with every middle-class family.”

Teja Kakumanu said, “The Earth stopped revolving around the Sun long ago. Now everything revolves around money. This film will definitely appeal to all middle-class families.”

Dhanraj said, “Only when we encourage such good stories will more good films be made. I wish this movie great success.”

Speaking on the occasion, versatile actor Samuthirakani said, “Life can be viewed and expressed in many ways. We are presenting it differently in this film as well. Mardaani 3 will stream on Netflix from March 27. The official Netflix India account made the announcement on social media on Thursday by posting a picture of Rani from the film and writing,

Project Hail Mary is a science fiction film adapted from the novel by the same name Project Hail Mary, written by American author Andy Weir. The book follows school teacher turned astronaut Ryland Grace as he tries to save humanity.

Coming to the film story Ryland Grace awakens from an induced coma on an interstellar spacecraft. Initially erratic with retrograde amnesia, Grace discovers that he is the sole survivor of the three-person crew on board, and that he is light-years away from Earth in a distant solar system.

Grace slowly remembers that he is an American middle-school science teacher and former molecular biologist selected for this mission by NASA to save planet Earth.

NASA scientists discover the Sun dimming caused by microorganism  known as astrophage which threatens human existence on earth.

Project Hail Mary is an International project of sending spacecraft to star Tau Ceti to get the antidote for astrophage with Grace and other crew onboard.

As Grace spacecraft approaches Tau Ceti , Grace meets alien Rocky from the other planet Eridani.

The rest of the story is how Grace and the alien Rocky save planet Earth and planet Eridani by preventing dimming stars by using the same mechanism of star Tau Ceti.

Ryland Grace performed exceptionally well as a school teacher and later on a mission on spacecraft to save planet Earth.The drama,fun, camaraderie between Grace and Alien Rocky is awesome, especially the camaraderie emotion,the bond worked out well.

Production values are top notch, the film should be watched for experience of space travel, drama, action, emotion during space sojourn.It’s a must watch film for youth, families and science fiction movie lovers.

Recognising his monumental contribution to Indian cinema over a remarkable 50-year journey, the festival conferred this honour as a tribute to his enduring impact, versatility, and unmatched dedication to the craft of acting.

Nandamuri Balakrishna attended the grand ceremony in New Delhi on March 25, where the award was presented by the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Delhi, Rekha Gupta, in the presence of distinguished guests from across the film fraternity and cultural spheres.

Adding to his recent accolades, his film Bhagavanth Kesari, directed by Anil Ravipudi, was honoured with the Best Feature Film in Telugu at the 71st National Film Awards, further cementing his continued relevance and excellence.

In 2025, the Government of India also conferred upon him the prestigious Padma Bhushan, the country’s third-highest civilian honour, recognising his immense contribution to the arts and cinema.
