B Sreedhar Varma has assumed charge as the new Chairman of Sri Venkateswara Bhakti Channel (SVBC), the devotional channel of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD). He formally took charge at the SVBC office near Alipiri in Tirupati.
Before assuming his responsibilities, B Sreedhar Varma received the blessings at the Sri Ranganayakula Mandapam in Tirumala and later arrived in Tirupati to take charge as SVBC Chairman.
Speaking on the occasion, B Sreedhar expressed his happiness at being given the opportunity to serve as SVBC Chairman. He said SVBC plays a key role in taking the glory of Lord Sri Venkateswara and the message of Hindu Dharma to devotees across the world. He assured that he would work in coordination with all employees and strive to further strengthen the channel.
Sreedhar expressed his heartfelt gratitude to Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Sri N. Chandrababu Naidu, Minister Sri Nara Lokesh, Deputy Chief Minister Sri Pawan Kalyan, and Endowments Minister Sri Anam Ramanarayana Reddy for giving him the opportunity to serve as SVBC Chairman.
The programme was attended by several members of the Nandamuri family, including Nandamuri Mohana Krishna, Nandamuri Ramakrishna, Nandamuri Mohana Roopa, Kamineni Sreemantini and Daggubati Nivedita, who congratulated B Sreedhar Varma, AP FDC Chairman Bharath Bhushan, TFPC secretary Thummala Prasanna Kumar and others extended their best wishes for his tenure. Several alliance leaders and well-wishers also attended the programme.
Nandamuri Mohana Krishna Congratulates B Sreedhar Varma
Nandamuri Mohana Krishna congratulated B Sreedhar Varma on being appointed SVBC Chairman and described him as a brother-like figure.
Recalling the long-standing association between the Nandamuri family and B Sreedhar Varma’s family, he said that although they were not related by blood, the bond of affection and respect between the families was like that of brothers.
He recalled that NTR Raju had been offered an early party ticket by Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao but chose not to contest, instead dedicating himself to the service of Lord Venkateswara and TTD. He also recalled Raju’s contribution to the development of TTD, including his voluntary donation of land.
Mohana Krishna said that Raju’s family had stood by the Nandamuri family since the generation of NTR and expressed happiness that his son B Sreedhar Varma was now carrying forward that legacy through his new responsibility as SVBC Chairman.
Nandamuri Ramakrishna Says B Sreedhar Varma is Deserving of the Responsibility
Nandamuri Ramakrishna said that the appointment of B Sreedhar Varma, son of the well-known NTR Raju, as SVBC Chairman was a matter of great happiness for the Nandamuri family.
He recalled that B Sreedhar Varma’s family had been associated with the service of Lord Venkateswara for four generations. Describing NTR Raju as a highly trusted and disciplined person who was deeply committed to the service of Lord Venkateswara, he expressed confidence that Sri Dhar Varma would follow in his father’s footsteps.
He hoped that B Sreedhar Varma would take SVBC to greater heights and conveyed his blessings and best wishes to him and his family. He also thanked Chief Minister Sri N. Chandrababu Naidu and everyone involved in his appointment.
Nandamuri Mohana Roopa Calls It a Proud Moment for the Nandamuri Family
Nandamuri Mohana Roopa said that it was a moment of immense happiness and pride for the entire Nandamuri family.
She recalled the close association between NTR Raju and Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao, describing Raju as a selfless person who worked with dedication and remained committed to his values throughout his life.
She said it was particularly gratifying that SreedharVarma, the son of such a respected personality, had been given the responsibility of serving as SVBC Chairman. She expressed confidence that he would do complete justice to the position and carry forward his family’s legacy with dedication and integrity.
She also expressed gratitude to the government for honouring B Sreedhar Varma with the responsibility.
The Nandamuri family members and other dignitaries wished B Sreedhar Varma success in his new role and expressed confidence that under his leadership, SVBC would continue to spread the glory of Lord Sri Venkateswara and devotional values to devotees across the globe.
