Now it’s a busy cricket season, champions trophy starting from tomorrow (19th Feb 25), ongoing WPL and IPL from March 2025 making the audience glued to smart TVs and mobiles.
Most of the multiplex screens are empty and single screen theatres are almost deserted with the audience busy with Cricket and other sports leagues on TV and mobiles.
With summer approaching from March the scorching heat will deter audiences from theatres till beginning of June 25.
Indian cinema theatre business is already hit by OTT even going to be further dented with anticipated harsh summer and various primetime Cricket leagues and sports leagues.
