After drawing widespread appreciation with back-to-back short films such as Ammulu, The Guilt, Yaani-‘Male’, and Dear Future Me, senior film journalist and analyst Dheeraj Appaji is back with his latest zero-budget short film, “Re-Valuation”, carrying the tagline “Second Chance at Love.”
With a runtime of under 12 minutes, the film stars Suresh Jagannadham and Anushree in the lead roles. Staying true to his tradition of appearing in every film he creates, Dheeraj Appaji makes a special cameo in Re-Valuation—a character that plays a crucial role in justifying the film’s title.
The voices for the off-screen phone characters have been provided by Lakshmi Pendyala, Swathi Bolishetty, and Venkat Vihari. The film is jointly presented by Karri Veera Ganesh and Kommidi Srinivasa Reddy, with Wild Wolf YouTube Channel and Golden Spoon Café serving as location partners.
The story revolves around an intriguing question: Why did a young woman reject a groom whom everyone else approved of during a traditional matchmaking meeting? Determined to find the answer, the young man sets out to meet her again. Did he succeed in winning a second chance at love? The film unfolds this heartfelt journey with an emotional and refreshing narrative.
