The film is directed by Ramesh C, with Venugopala Chari as co-producer. The first look poster was launched today at the Hyderabad Film Chamber. Renowned director VN Aditya attended the event as the Chief Guest and unveiled the poster.
Director VN Aditya said:
“Savithramma garu has fulfilled her son Ramesh’s dream of becoming a director through this film. I met Ramesh in the US—he is someone who carries pure passion for cinema. Even while continuing his professional career there, he came back to India and completed this film. Just like we made ‘Khushi’ a hit by showcasing Sidhu-Siddharth Roy’s love story, I hope the audience will also make ‘Sidhu Gaadi Love Story’ a success. Mahan, Shruthi, and Mohana Sidhi have already worked in a few films, and I hope this one earns them great appreciation. Samba Shiva Rao, the executive producer, is also a good friend of mine. The songs in the film are excellent. I wish the entire team a grand success.”
Hero Mahan said:
“Our film ‘Sidhu Gaadi Love Story’ has beautiful songs and action sequences. Along with a love story, the film also carries a meaningful message. Shruthi will appeal more to the class audience while Mohana Sidhi will connect well with the mass crowd. I’m confident everyone will love my character.”
Heroine Mohana Sidhi said:
“Opportunities are comparatively limited for Telugu girls. I am thankful to director Ramesh garu for giving me this role. I have a solo song in the film based on nature. I’m sure this movie will give me a remarkable identity as a heroine.”

“All the credit for Nuvvu Naaku Nachav goes to Venkatesh garu”
— Trivikram Srinivas
“Nuvvu Naaku Nachav was a collective miracle. It brought money and respect.”
— Trivikram Srinivas
Producer Sravanthi Ravi Kishore and writer–director Trivikram Srinivas reminisce during the re-release of Nuvvu Naaku Nachav
It has been 25 years since the release of Nuvvu Naaku Nachav, produced by Sravanthi Ravi Kishore under Sri Sravanthi Movies, directed by K. Vijayabhaskar, starring Victory Venkatesh and Aarthi Agarwal.
Trivikram Srinivas provided the story and dialogues, while Koti composed the music. The film, which became a cult classic, is being re-released on January 1 as a New Year special. On this occasion, producer Sravanthi Ravi Kishore and writer–director Trivikram shared memories of the film and its journey.
Sravanthi Ravi Kishore:
Revisiting the wonderful memories and the incredible journey of Nuvvu Naaku Nachav after so many years makes me very happy.
Trivikram:
Me too.
Sravanthi Ravi Kishore:
You used to come to the shooting sets quite often, right?
Trivikram:
I was writing Nuvve Kavali and Chirunavvutho simultaneously, so I couldn’t visit those sets much. I went to Nuvve Kavali during the “Shukriya” song shoot and the climax. But I was present for most of Nuvvu Naaku Nachav shoots. We even went to New Zealand together. I was there during dubbing as well.

Sravanthi Ravi Kishore:
You were supposed to direct Nuvve Nuvve next, right?
Trivikram:
Yes. That’s why I was involved in everything for Nuvvu Naaku Nachav.
Sravanthi Ravi Kishore:
Back then, you’d write a script version and narrate the dialogue version to the director and producer. We didn’t just hear what you wrote—we saw it.
Trivikram:
There was another room next to my writing room. We all used to sit there together.
Sravanthi Ravi Kishore:
We couldn’t imagine anyone other than Prakash Raj for the heroine’s father. Once you narrated the dialogues with diction, it was fixed.
Trivikram:
Yes. Those 22 scenes—I remember them clearly. The house set was in Nankramguda. On the first day Prakash Raj came to the set, he didn’t know Telugu then. He wrote all his scenes and dialogues in Kannada.
When Suhasini garu entered and asked, “Is he a good man or a bad man?”, you replied, “Maniratnam!” (laughs).
What I wrote was, “Good man or bad man? A husband is just that.” But you said, “Good man or bad man? Maniratnam.” I burst out laughing and had to step outside.
Sravanthi Ravi Kishore:
It was an amazing journey. No matter how much we talk about Sirivennala Seetharama Sastry garu, it’s never enough.
Trivikram:
I clearly remember—you called me from Madras about the song O Navvu Chalu. “Can anyone see night in broad daylight?”—those lines.
Sravanthi Ravi Kishore:
That’s how he wrote everything. We had to shoot the song in Ooty. We had just returned from New Zealand and were working non-stop. Shankar Mahadevan was at Koti’s studio. I couldn’t pressure anyone. We didn’t want just a song—we wanted a good song.
Then suddenly—“Wait! The song is here!”—and we rushed in the car. He wrote the pallavi while traveling. That’s why the pallavi isn’t fully seen in his files.
Trivikram:
Yes—“Those curls stuck in the darkness…” He later completed it as “Will you die if I don’t show those curls?”
Sravanthi Ravi Kishore:
The best part is—we followed every single line he wrote. He never just brought one line and called it a song.
Trivikram:
Even one line would excite us—one line per day! (laughs)
Sravanthi Ravi Kishore:
He’d write many options and place them there.
“Isn’t ‘that braid’ good?”
“Isn’t ‘a kite in the sky’ good?”
We’d say, “The song is done!”
He completed the first stanza first, then the pallavi.
Trivikram:
This is all so nostalgic.
Sravanthi Ravi Kishore:
When Yogeshwar Sharma brought those papers, knowing Sastry garu had held them—it made me emotional. He left us too early.
Trivikram:
He delivered songs late—but left this world early.
Sravanthi Ravi Kishore:
Venkatesh’s contribution is huge. As an artist, he was extraordinary.
Trivikram:
After the dialogue version was ready, he did two or three readings. He immersed himself completely.
Sravanthi Ravi Kishore:
On the last day, we shot the train travel scene—from Hyderabad to Nalgonda and back.
Trivikram:
So the first scene was shot last?
Sravanthi Ravi Kishore:
Yes. He said, “Is it over already, Kishore?”
We shot for 85 days. The first cut was 3 hours 14 minutes.
Trivikram:
You brought it down to 3 hours? (laughs)
Sravanthi Ravi Kishore:
Released at 3 hours 9 minutes.
Sravanthi Ravi Kishore:
Suhasini’s scenes created controversy on release.
Trivikram:
You weren’t scared at all. I suggested cutting them. You said, “Let it run for a week.”
Landlines those days—calls at 11 or 11:30 at night, praising every dialogue.
Sravanthi Ravi Kishore:
You did the same when I wrote good dialogues—“Truth should be seen in the eyes,” “Mother’s mango pickle,” and so on.
Sravanthi Ravi Kishore:
It’s been 25 years now.
Trivikram:
24 or 25?
Sravanthi Ravi Kishore:
Silver Jubilee was on September 6.
Sravanthi Ravi Kishore:
This film is a stress-buster for many.
Trivikram:
During a preview for Ramanaidu garu’s family, Venkatesh’s wife said:
“Just like we talk about Gundamma Katha and Missamma today, future generations will talk about this film.”
I didn’t believe it then. Today, everyone says the same.
Sravanthi Ravi Kishore:
Even now, when I say I produced this film, people look at me with respect. Even a 9-year-old watches it repeatedly. That gives me immense satisfaction.
Trivikram:
Some films bring money. Some bring fame.
Only a few bring respect.
This is one of those films.
Sravanthi Ravi Kishore:
That respect still exists today.
Trivikram:
This film gave us lasting relationships and unforgettable memories.
Sravanthi Ravi Kishore:
Even your marriage happened because of this film
Trivikram:
Let’s save that story for television(laughs)
Sravanthi Ravi Kishore:
Relationship humor (laughs)
Trivikram:
Only Sastry garu, you, and I know that conspiracy angle. Let’s not discuss it here.
Love you, sir. Thank you.
Sravanthi Ravi Kishore:
Thank you. (laughs)
