Ever since Vishnu Manchu took charge as the President of the Movie Artists Association (MAA), he has been giving top priority to the health and well-being of its members. Known for his consistent efforts, Vishnu has been organizing regular health check-ups for MAA members in collaboration with leading multi-specialty hospitals in Hyderabad. These health camps have been well-received, with active participation from the members.
Continuing this initiative, a special health camp for MAA members was held on Sunday under the aegis of KIMS Sunshine Hospital. The event saw the participation of MAA President Vishnu Manchu, Treasurer Shiva Balaji, and actor Rajeev Kanakala. Representing the hospital were KIMS Sunshine COO Sudhakar Jadhav, Senior Consultant & General Physician Dr. Nav Vikas Jukanti, Consultant Vascular, Endovascular & Diabetic Foot Specialist Dr. Nishanth Reddy, and Gastroenterologist & Hepatologist Dr. Mudumala Isaac Abhilash.

The film’s title is “Srinivasa Mangapuram” Under the joint production of Ashwini Dutt – Gemini Kiran.
Prominent producers Chalasani Ashwini Dutt and Gemini Kiran are making preparations to produce a massive budget film, directed by Ajay Bhupathi, introducing Ghattamaneni Jayakrishna, the son of Super Star Mahesh Babu’s elder brother, as the hero. Padmalaya banner is also likely to be a partner in the film’s production.
The title “Srinivasa Mangapuram” is currently under consideration for this movie.

Telangana Govt Forms Committee for Telangana Television Awards 2024, Sharrath Marar Named Chairman
The Government of Telangana has announced the formation of a high-level committee to draft the modalities, regulations, and logo design for the upcoming Telangana Television Awards 2024, which aim to recognise and celebrate outstanding achievements in the regional television industry.
MD, TGFDC will be the Convener of the 15 member Committee. With Producer Sharrath Marar as Chairman, the committee will include distinguished members from the television industry, including K. Baipneedu, Manjula Naidu, and P. Kiran.
The panel has been entrusted with shaping the framework and vision of the awards to ensure transparency, inclusivity, and creative excellence across all categories.
Speaking on the occasion, Cinematography Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy said, “Telangana is rapidly emerging as a hub for film and television excellence. The Telangana Television Awards 2024 will provide a credible and prestigious platform to honour creative talent and innovation in the industry. These initiatives reaffirm the government’s commitment to nurturing and empowering local talent.”
This initiative forms part of the state government’s ongoing efforts to strengthen the film, television, and entertainment ecosystem.
Officials noted that the Telangana Television Awards 2024 will serve as a landmark platform to honour excellence in storytelling, technical craft, and artistic performance — further elevating standards and morale within the television industry.
Producer Venu Donepudi’s Chitralayam Studios is coming up with a trendy crime comedy titled ‘Baa Baa Black Sheep.’ The shooting of the film, which launched in October, is presently progressing briskly in Meghalaya – Land of Clouds. The film features Tinnu Anand, Upendra Limaye, George Marian, Raja Ravindra, Akshay Lagusani, Vishnu Oi, Karthikeya Dev, Kasyap, Vismaya, Malvi Malhotra, Samriddhi Aryal in key roles.
First film to be shot entirely in Meghalaya
The story, which unfolds over a single day, is said to revolve around guns, gold, and a hunt involving six individuals. Talking about the film, Venu states that Baa Baa Black Sheep is the first film to be shot completely in Meghalaya. “The story is set in the state of northeast India, and we will shoot the entire film here,” said the producer. The narrative demands an entirely different landscape filled with natural beauty – waterfalls, mountains, and the most exotic locations. After an extensive recce, we have zeroed in on Meghalaya.” The film is being shot at Sohra (aka Cherrapunji), which is famous for being one of the wettest places on Earth. And Venu admits that shooting in dense rainfall is challenging. “It’s tough, you rarely get the required light to roll the camera, but kudos to the team who are doing an extraordinary job” which will be visual feast.
As part of building greater synergies, the production house has partnered with the government of Meghalaya. Recently, Honorable Chief Minister Mr. Conrad K Sangma has met the film unit to congratulate and assured complete support for the smooth functioning of shooting in Meghalaya.
