Rākāsā Telugu States Rights Bagged by Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Movie Makers in a Big-Ticket Deal

0

The upcoming fantasy-comedy entertainer Rākāsā has registered a major business milestone ahead of its theatrical release. The Telugu States theatrical rights of the film have been bagged by Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Movie Makers in a big-ticket deal, underlining the strong trade confidence the project has generated in the lead-up to its release. The development marks a significant step in the film’s release journey, signalling that the industry sees considerable potential in the film’s theatrical prospects.

The deal further strengthens the film’s expanding distribution network as the makers prepare for a wide global rollout. While Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Movie Makers will be releasing the film across the Telugu States, RaaKaaSaa is simultaneously gearing up for a large-scale overseas launch. International distribution will be handled by Atharvana Bhadrakali Pictures, which is planning a release across more than 350 international screens, spanning key territories including the United States, the United Kingdom, Europe, Canada, and Australia. Distribution responsibilities for the crucial North America and United Kingdom markets will be handled by Prathyangira Cinemas, ensuring the film reaches audiences across major overseas hubs. Overseas premieres are scheduled for April 2, 2026, a day ahead of the film’s worldwide theatrical release.

Beyond theatrical distribution, the film has also secured notable non-theatrical partnerships that further reinforce its market positioning. The digital streaming rights have been acquired by Netflix, while the audio rights have been bagged by Saregama Music, one of India’s most reputed music labels. These alliances collectively add to the film’s commercial ecosystem and underline the growing anticipation surrounding the project.

The promotional campaign for Rākāsā has also been generating strong digital traction. The film’s title glimpse has crossed 1.9 million views, while the teaser has moved past 2.8 million views, drawing considerable engagement online. The first single “Rapappa” quickly struck a chord with listeners, crossing 1.1 million views on YouTube. The recently released second single “Padhe Padhe”, sung by Sindhuja Srinivasan, composed by Anudeep Dev, and written by lyricist Kittu Vissapragada, has also crossed the 1 million view mark. With both songs resonating strongly with listeners and continuing to gather views across platforms, the soundtrack of Rākāsā is steadily emerging as a chartbuster album, reflecting the growing audience connection with the film’s music.

Headlined by Sangeeth Sobhan, who has recently strengthened his popularity among younger audiences with successes such as MAD and MAD Square, Rākāsā places him alongside Nayan Sarika in a story that blends romance, humour, and fantastical elements. The film also features a lively supporting cast including Vennela Kishore, Brahmaji, Tanikella Bharani, Ashish Vidyarthi, and Getup Srinu. The project is written and directed by Manasa Sharma, who first gained recognition as the creator and writer of Oka Chinna Family Story and later directed Bench Life.

On the technical front, the film brings together a strong creative team shaping its visual and musical identity. Anudeep Dev composes the film’s soundtrack, while cinematography is handled by Raju Edurolu and editing by Anwar Ali. The production is mounted by Niharika Konidela under the banner Pink Elephant Pictures in collaboration with Zee Studios, with Umesh Kumar Bansal backing the project as producer.

With strong distribution backing across domestic and international markets, growing digital engagement for its promotional content, and increasing curiosity surrounding its music and story, Rākāsā continues to gather momentum as it approaches its worldwide theatrical release on April 3, 2026.

“It’s been a long time since the audience watched a film like Ustaad Bhagat Singh” – Director Harish Shankar at Pre-Release Press Meet

“A good Telugu film is arriving this Ugadi in the form of Ustaad Bhagat Singh” – Actress Sreeleela

After the sensational success of Gabbar Singh, Power Star Pawan Kalyan and Cult Captain Harish Shankar have teamed up once again for Ustaad Bhagat Singh. The film is produced prestigiously under the banner of Mythri Movie Makers by Naveen Yerneni and Yalamanchili Ravi Shankar.

The film stars Sreeleela and Raashii Khanna as the female leads. Music is composed by Devi Sri Prasad, while the background score is by S. Thaman.

The songs, teaser, and trailer have already received a tremendous response, building huge expectations for the film. With anticipation at its peak, Ustaad Bhagat Singh is set to hit theatres on March 19, coinciding with Ugadi, aiming to redefine mass entertainment.

Ahead of the release, the team held a pre-release press meet on Wednesday morning.

Harish Shankar’s Speech

Director Harish Shankar said:

“First of all, I would like to thank the media. It’s been a long time since I met you all like this, and I’m very happy. This Ugadi is going to be ‘Ustaad Ugadi.’

In my opinion, it has been a long time since we’ve seen a full-fledged commercial entertainer from a big star. Not just fans, but even general audiences haven’t had a film recently that delivers all elements—songs, dances, dialogues, romance, comedy, and powerful villain moments—from a star hero.

I may not be able to say what records Ustaad Bhagat Singh will create, but I can say one thing for sure—after watching this film, everyone will feel that it’s been a long time since they’ve seen such an entertaining movie.

From hairstyle to dance, dialogues to humor—everything that audiences expect from Pawan Kalyan Garu is present in this film. It will give the satisfaction of watching a complete Pawan Kalyan film.

We completed the film on time and delivered a strong output. With proper planning, we avoided wasting time and money. The biggest strength behind this was Pawan Kalyan Garu.

Despite being busy with governance and administrative responsibilities, he made time for us without affecting his duties. He would inform us in advance about his availability and schedule.

It is the responsibility of every director like me to protect producers like Mythri Movie Makers. They should continue making films and stay in the industry for decades.

Not once did they show impatience despite delays. They never compromised on the budget and always gave more than what I asked for. Because of their support, the film turned out so well.

I also thank Thaman, who stepped in like a hero at the last moment and took charge of the background score. He delivered an outstanding score for such an emotional film in just 12–13 days.

Everything fell into place for this film. I thank each and every person who worked on Ustaad Bhagat Singh.

Everyone who watches this film will recommend it to at least ten others. Fans will come back to watch it again and again.”

Producer Naveen Yerneni’s Speech

Producer Naveen Yerneni said:

“We are extremely happy. It has always been our dream to make a film with Pawan Kalyan Garu, and that dream has come true with Ustaad Bhagat Singh.

We initially planned this film 5–6 years ago, but due to COVID and Pawan Kalyan Garu’s political journey, we finally started it in June last year.

As producers, the entire process felt like a picnic, without any pressure. The main reason for that is our director Harish Shankar Garu.

Despite Pawan Kalyan Garu being busy with public service, Harish planned everything efficiently and completed the shoot smoothly.

If every film is made like this, we can happily make ten films a year. Harish also handled post-production and publicity tirelessly, without even proper sleep.

I have watched Ustaad Bhagat Singh four to five times already, and every time I feel the same—it is a complete entertainer. It has entertainment, emotions, and all commercial elements, making it engaging from start to finish.

This is a full-fledged family entertainer. Premiere shows will begin worldwide from 5 AM tomorrow. We hope everyone watches and enjoys the film.”

Sreeleela’s Speech

Actress Sreeleela said:

“First of all, Ugadi wishes to everyone. It’s very special for us that Ustaad Bhagat Singh is releasing as a Telugu New Year gift.

We are very confident about the film. A good Telugu film is arriving this Ugadi, and it will be enjoyed by everyone.

We request the audience to support our film. The media’s support has been unforgettable.

Raashii Khanna is a sweetheart. Even though we don’t have scenes together, we bonded well during the shoot.

This film is very important to us, and I hope everyone watches and enjoys it.”

Raashii Khanna’s Speech

Actress Raashii Khanna said:

“I’m very excited that Ustaad Bhagat Singh is releasing tomorrow. It’s my first film of 2026, releasing during Ugadi, and it stars Pawan Kalyan Garu—so it’s a triple celebration for me.

All of us worked very hard for this film. Especially Harish Shankar Garu, who worked tirelessly, even sacrificing sleep.

From start to finish, he gave his all to this film. I hope Ustaad Bhagat Singh is loved by everyone.”

Strait of Hormuz Disruption Threatens to Shake Global Economy

0

The Strait of Hormuz, a narrow maritime passage between Iran and Oman, has once again emerged as the most critical flashpoint for the global economy. Recent geopolitical tensions and military escalations in the Middle East have raised serious concerns about disruptions in this vital waterway—through which a significant portion of the world’s energy supplies flows. The consequences of any prolonged disruption are far-reaching, with the potential to destabilize global markets, trigger inflation, and slow economic growth worldwide.

A Critical Artery of Global Energy

The Strait of Hormuz is widely regarded as the world’s most important oil chokepoint. It carries around 20–25% of global seaborne oil trade and large volumes of liquefied natural gas (LNG) . On an average day, nearly 20 million barrels of crude oil and petroleum products pass through this narrow corridor .

This makes the global economy heavily dependent on uninterrupted shipping through the strait. Any disruption—whether due to conflict, blockades, or security threats—immediately tightens global supply.

Immediate Impact: Oil Shock and Price Surge

Recent developments show how quickly markets react. The closure or disruption of the strait has already led to:

Sharp spikes in crude oil prices

Increased shipping and insurance costs

Supply shortages in key energy-importing regions

In fact, analysts describe the current crisis as one of the largest oil supply disruptions in history, removing millions of barrels per day from the market . In some cases, alternative crude prices have surged dramatically due to panic buying and supply gaps .

Such price shocks ripple across the global economy because oil is a foundational input for transportation, manufacturing, and energy production.

Global Inflation and Economic Slowdown

Higher oil prices directly translate into higher costs of goods and services. Fuel is central to logistics and industrial production, so disruptions quickly drive up:

Transportation costs

Food prices

Manufacturing expenses

For example, rising diesel prices have already begun affecting freight and supply chains, raising concerns about broader economic slowdown .

Economists warn of a possible stagflation scenario—a combination of high inflation and low growth—if the disruption persists .

Impact on Global Trade and Supply Chains

The Strait of Hormuz is not just about oil—it is a major global trade artery. Disruptions affect:

Shipping routes and delivery timelines

Availability of fertilizers and chemicals

Industrial supply chains

The United Nations has warned that any prolonged closure could severely disrupt global trade flows and maritime logistics . Tankers being stranded or rerouted increases transit times and costs, creating bottlenecks across industries.

Severe Consequences for Oil-Dependent Economies

Countries heavily reliant on oil exports or imports face the biggest risks:

Oil-exporting nations like Iraq could suffer revenue collapse and fiscal instability

Import-dependent economies, especially in Asia, face inflation and currency pressure

For India, even a $10 increase in oil prices can reduce GDP growth and raise inflation, highlighting its vulnerability .

Financial Market Volatility

Energy shocks quickly spread to financial markets. Stock markets, currencies, and bonds react sharply to uncertainty in energy supply.

Recent disruptions have already caused:

Volatility in global stock markets

Rising energy sector profits but broader market instability

Increased investor uncertainty

This interconnectedness shows how a regional conflict can trigger a global financial contagion.

Strategic Responses and Mitigation Efforts

Governments and global institutions are attempting to cushion the impact through:

Release of strategic oil reserves

Diversification of energy supply routes

Increased production from non-Gulf regions

The International Energy Agency (IEA) has even undertaken large-scale reserve releases to stabilize markets . However, these are short-term measures and cannot fully offset a prolonged disruption.

Conclusion

The Strait of Hormuz remains a geopolitical pressure point with global economic consequences. Its disruption is not merely a regional issue but a systemic risk to the world economy.

From soaring oil prices and inflation to trade disruptions and financial instability, the ripple effects are profound. As tensions persist, the situation underscores a crucial lesson: global economic stability is deeply tied to energy security and maritime chokepoints.

A prolonged crisis in the Strait of Hormuz could redefine global energy dynamics—and potentially reshape the economic order itself.

Lost on the Road: The Lack of Proper Signages for Motorists in India

0

India has one of the largest road networks in the world, stretching over millions of kilometres and connecting bustling metros, small towns and remote villages. Yet, for many motorists, navigating these roads often feels like a guessing game rather than a guided journey. The absence of proper road signages—or the presence of poorly maintained ones—has become a major issue affecting safety, convenience and traffic efficiency across the country.

The Signage Problem on Indian Roads

Road signages are meant to guide motorists, warn them of potential hazards and provide important information about directions, speed limits and road conditions. However, on many Indian roads, these signboards are either missing, damaged, poorly placed or hidden behind trees, hoardings and construction material.

For instance, drivers frequently encounter unmarked diversions during road construction, especially on highways and urban arterial roads. Without advance warning signs, motorists suddenly face barricades or abrupt lane changes, which increases the risk of accidents.

In cities, direction boards at intersections are often confusing or incomplete. A motorist may only realize they have missed a turn after travelling several kilometres because there were no clear advance signs. On highways, crucial indicators such as speed limit signs, curve warnings, and village crossing alerts are often absent or faded.

Night driving presents an even bigger challenge. Many signs lack reflective paint or lighting, making them nearly invisible after dark. During heavy rains or fog, the problem becomes more severe, forcing drivers to rely on guesswork or navigation apps.

Safety Concerns

Poor signage contributes significantly to road accidents. Sudden speed breakers without warning boards, sharp curves without caution signs, and unexpected U-turns are common causes of crashes. Motorists, especially those unfamiliar with the area, have little time to react when they are not properly alerted.

Two-wheeler riders, who form a large portion of India’s road users, are particularly vulnerable. A poorly marked pothole, speed breaker or diversion can easily lead to loss of control and serious injury.

Why the Problem Persists

Several factors contribute to the lack of proper road signages in India:

Poor planning during road construction

Negligence in maintenance by local authorities

Encroachments and advertising hoardings blocking signs

Vandalism and theft of metal signboards

Lack of uniform standards across states and municipalities

Even when roads are widened or redesigned, signage is often treated as an afterthought rather than an essential component of road infrastructure.

Possible Solutions

Improving road signage does not necessarily require massive investments; it mainly requires planning, enforcement and accountability.

1. Standardised Signage System
Authorities must strictly follow the guidelines set by the Indian Roads Congress (IRC) for road sign design, placement and visibility. A uniform signage system across states would help motorists understand signs instantly, regardless of where they are driving.

2. Reflective and Illuminated Signboards
All important traffic and warning signs should use high-quality reflective materials so they remain visible at night and during poor weather conditions.

3. Advance Warning Signs
Diversions, construction zones, speed breakers and sharp curves should always be indicated at least 100–200 metres in advance to give motorists enough time to react.

4. Regular Maintenance and Audits
Road authorities should conduct periodic road safety audits to check for missing or damaged signs and replace them immediately.

5. Smart Digital Signage
On major highways and urban corridors, electronic signboards can provide real-time traffic alerts, weather warnings and accident notifications.

6. Removing Visual Obstructions
Strict action must be taken against illegal hoardings and encroachments that block road signs.

7. Public Reporting Systems
Governments can encourage citizens to report missing or damaged signages through mobile apps, enabling quicker repairs.

The Way Forward

As India rapidly expands its highway network and urban infrastructure, proper road signage must become a priority rather than a neglected detail. Clear, visible and well-maintained signboards not only make driving easier but also save lives.

A road is not complete when the asphalt is laid—it is complete only when motorists can safely and confidently navigate it. Improving road signage across India is a simple yet powerful step toward creating safer and smarter roads for everyone.

Hyderabad–Warangal Highway: A Biker’s Paradise for Weekend Breakfast Rides

For motorcycling enthusiasts in Telangana, the stretch between Hyderabad and Warangal along National Highway 163 has become one of the most popular weekend riding routes. Known for its smooth roads, open stretches, and easy access from the city, the highway offers the perfect escape for riders looking for a refreshing early-morning ride.

A Favourite Weekend Route for Bikers

Every weekend, especially on Sunday mornings, groups of bikers gather near Uppal and begin their ride towards Warangal. As the ride moves past the city limits, the traffic thins and the scenery changes to farmland, lakes, and small Telangana towns.

The relatively straight and well-maintained road makes it ideal for relaxed cruising. The cool morning breeze and sunrise views create a peaceful atmosphere, giving riders a break from Hyderabad’s busy urban life.

Popular Breakfast Stops on the Highway

What makes this route even more attractive is the large number of restaurants and tiffin centres along the highway. These eateries have become regular meeting points for bikers and travellers.

One of the well-known stops for breakfast lovers is Minerva Coffee Shop. Famous for its South Indian vegetarian cuisine and iconic filter coffee, the restaurant has built a strong reputation among food lovers for decades. Since its early years, it has been known for serving classic dishes such as idli, dosa, vada, and hearty vegetarian meals throughout the day.

Another popular stop for riders heading towards Warangal is Taaza Tiffins. Known for its authentic South Indian breakfast items, the restaurant serves favourites like idly, dosa, poori, Mysore bajji, and pesarattu, usually accompanied by a variety of chutneys and fresh juices.

For many bikers, stopping at these breakfast spots is an essential part of the ride. Riders often park their motorcycles outside, enjoy hot coffee or a plate of dosa, and exchange stories about routes, bikes, and travel plans.

Scenic Countryside and Relaxed Riding

The route passes through towns such as Ghatkesar, Bibinagar, and Jangaon, offering glimpses of rural Telangana. Early mornings are the best time to ride, when the temperature is cooler and the highway is relatively free of heavy traffic.

The long stretches of open road combined with scenic surroundings make the ride both relaxing and enjoyable.

More Than Just a Highway

Over the years, the Hyderabad–Warangal highway has become more than just a transport corridor. It has evolved into a social space for riders, road-trip enthusiasts, and food lovers. The availability of good breakfast joints, comfortable cafés, and scenic riding conditions has earned it a reputation among motorcycling communities as a “biker’s paradise.”

The Perfect Weekend Escape

For many riders in Hyderabad, the routine is simple: start early in the morning, ride 60–80 kilometres on the highway, stop at a popular breakfast spot like Minerva Coffee Shop or Taaza Tiffins, and return to the city before noon.

With smooth roads, beautiful countryside views, and delicious breakfast stops along the way, the Hyderabad–Warangal highway continues to be one of the most enjoyable weekend riding routes in Telangana.

On Sunday (15th March 26) passionate Bikers Praneet from Kiraak Riders and Chaitanya from Mad max riders arranged breakfast ride to Nellai Thatibellam restaurant in Raghunathpally on Warangal highway.

The event was huge success around 40 bikers participated in the event they enjoyed the ride and had fun time together after a yummy breakfast in Nellai Thatibellam.
