It’s well known that different, content-oriented subjects are currently receiving immense appreciation. Young hero Karthik Raju who shot to fame with the thriller Atharva is coming up with yet another intriguing project. Parvathi Arun and “Pushpa” fame Jagadeesh Prathap Bandari also play key roles in the film, which is produced by Mandala Dharma Rao and Gumpu Bhaskar Rao under the GMR Movie Makers banner. The film marks the directorial debut of VS Vasu. The movie is titled powerfully Vilaya Thandavam, and the same was revealed through this poster. The background features symbolic severed limbs and heads, creatively representing the ferocious form of the goddess Kali. The tagline, “When patience dies, Rudra Kaali rises,” highlights the film’s theme of divine retribution and feminine power.

Coming to story Murali (Dhanush) leaves his village to pursue a successful corporate career in Bangkok, disappointing his idli-making father, Shiva Kesavudu (Rajkiran).

In Bangkok he does a good job in SatyaRaj company, impressed with his performance he decides to marry his daughter Shalini with Danush.

Just before marriage Danush father dies and he has to go back to his village to perform last rites.

After his father and mother’s death Danush decides to sell his Idli Kottu to Samuthirakani, but at the last minute feeling sentimental he changes his mind.

He decides to continue his father’s legacy of Idli making by staying back in his village and continues his camaraderie with his childhood love Nithya Menon.

Satya Raj, Shalini and Arun Vijay come to India to take back Danush to Bangkok and in the process Arun Vijay gets into a serious conflict with Danush.

The rest of the story is how Danush gets into problems with Satya Raj and Arun in the process of rejecting his Bangkok life and being rooted to his village to continue his father’s legacy of Idli making  and how he overcomes it with the support of villagers.

It’s a familiar outdated plot family drama, sentimental heavy with protoganist affinity to his village and family legacy.
