0

S.V. Krishna Reddy, a versatile and multi-talented individual who once shone with a series of successes, has recently found “success” playing hide-and-seek with him.

If anyone else were in his place, they would have probably given up their directorial career and retired to a life of leisure.

But he, with renewed enthusiasm, is fighting a relentless battle in his own style to win back the favor of “Victory,” who once followed him closely and guided him forward, but has now, for no reason, turned her back on him.

His fans are wholeheartedly wishing that with his recently started film, “Vedavyas,” director S.V. Krishna Reddy will regain his past glory and that he will deliver many more super hits.

Release Date: September 5, 2025
Banner: First Frame Entertainment
Cast: Anushka Shetty, Jagapathi Babu, Jisshu Sengupta, Ramya Krishnan, Vikram Prabhu, Desi Raju, Ravindra Vijay, Chaitanya Rao
Music Director: Nagavelli Vidya Sagar
Producer: Rajeev Reddy, Saibabu Jagarlamudi
Director: Krish Jagarlamudi

Set in the Eastern Ghats along the Andhra-Odisha border, the story revolves around the tribal community’s involvement in the illegal ganja trade.

The Naidu brothers, played by Ravindra Vijay and Chaitanya Rao Madadi, control the high-grade “Sheelavathi” ganja produced in the region and supply it to a large cartel run by Mahaaveer (Jisshu Sengupta).

However, the Ghaati tribal laborers transporting the ganja are mistreated and underpaid. Desi Raju (Vikram Prabhu) and his love interest Sheelavathi (Anushka Shetty) devise a plan to gain their rightful share by converting the ganja into a liquid and exporting it themselves to earn more money and spend on the welfare of tribals.

This new business upsets the Naidu brothers, who vow to destroy the Ghaati people. The plot then follows the conflict that escalates, with Sheelavathi’s character transforming from a victim to a legendary figure seeking justice for her people and her bid to end the Ganja smuggling.

Anushka’s performance is awesome as Ghatti transporting Ganja and later in revenge drama action episodes going against the drug cartel.

Movie works in parts, in few portions it’s unrealistic, Jagapati Babu’s role as a police officer is ok who drives the story forward.
