Telugu movie Kingdom Review

Kingdom is a 2025 Indian Telugu-language spy action thriller film written and directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri. The film is produced by Naga Vamsi and Sai Soujanya under the banners of Sithara Entertainments and Fortune Four Cinemas. The film stars Vijay Deverakonda alongside Satyadev and Bhagyashri Borse.

It is intended to be the first installment of a planned duology.

Release date: 31st July 25

The film is set against a backdrop of Telugu refugees in Srilanka the tribe has an ancestral connection to India and still longe to come to India.

With no option Telugu refugees headed by Satyadev(Siva) work for the Srilankan smuggling syndicate.

Vijay Devarakonda(Suri) constable in a small town in India who is in search of his missing brother is sent to Srilanka on a mission as a spy.

The rest of the story is how Vijay establishes himself in the Telugu refugee tribe in Srilanka, how he wins their confidence, his connection with Satya Dev

and his tussle with the Srilankan Smuggling cartel as part of his mission.

Heroine Bhagyashri Borse is used as a padding artist who works for an Indian government to drive the story forward.

The first half is decent in setting up the story premise, establishing the spy mission thread and Vijay and Satya Dev meeting, friendship, brother hood and bonding.

Second half goes haywire with no logical conclusion, focussing more on the fictitious Telugu refugee kingdom with Vijay as their saviour and portraying the evilness of Vijay and Bhagyasri Borse.

Testing time for Vijay

It’s well-known that success has been playing hide-and-seek with Vijay Deverakonda for the past few days. Setting aside his special appearances, “Taxiwaala” was Deverakonda’s last hit movie. This means it’s been seven years since success graced Vijay. Films like “Dear Comrade,” “World Famous Lover,” “Liger,” “Kushi,” and “Family Star” all ended in disappointment.

In this context, “Kingdom,” which is set to release tomorrow, can truly be called a trial by fire for Vijay. This film, coming from Sithara Entertainments with the director of “Jersey,” has very good expectations. We’ll find out in a few more hours to what extent this film lives up to these expectations.

Navigating India’s Roads: A Look at the Safest Two-Wheelers (2025)

0

Two-wheelers are an undeniable lifeline for millions across India, offering unparalleled convenience and affordability.

However, with rising road accidents, safety has become a paramount concern for riders. While no vehicle can guarantee 100% safety, choosing a bike or scooter equipped with crucial safety features and practicing defensive riding can significantly mitigate risks.

This article explores what makes a two-wheeler safe in the Indian context and highlights some of the current safest options available in 2025.

Key Safety Features to Look For:
When considering a two-wheeler, prioritize models that integrate the following safety technologies:

Anti-lock Braking System (ABS): This is perhaps the most critical safety feature. ABS prevents wheels from locking up during sudden braking, especially on slippery surfaces, allowing the rider to maintain steering control and reduce stopping distances. Both single-channel and dual-channel ABS are available, with dual-channel offering superior control by independently regulating both front and rear brakes.

Combined Braking System (CBS): Often found in scooters and commuter bikes, CBS (or Combi-Brake System) links the front and rear brakes, applying both when only one lever is pressed. This helps in distributing braking force evenly, improving stability.

Good Quality Tires: Tires are the sole point of contact with the road. Bikes equipped with wider, good-quality tires with optimal tread patterns offer better grip and stability, crucial for various road conditions, including wet or uneven surfaces.

Traction Control System (TCS): While more common in higher-end bikes, TCS prevents wheelspin by reducing engine power when it detects a loss of traction. This is particularly useful in preventing skids during acceleration, especially on loose gravel or wet roads.

Sturdy Build Quality: A well-built frame and robust components contribute to the overall structural integrity of the vehicle, offering better protection in the event of a collision.

Visibility Features: Good headlights, taillights, and turn indicators are essential for being seen by other road users, especially during low light conditions or at night. LED lighting offers superior illumination and visibility.

Safest Two-Wheelers in India (2025) – A Category-wise Overview:
Based on reliability, available safety features, and consumer feedback, here are some models that stand out in terms of safety:

1. Commuter Motorcycles (100cc-160cc Segment): These bikes are the backbone of Indian commuting, and several models now offer enhanced safety.

TVS Radeon: Consistently praised for its exceptional long-term reliability and sturdy build, the TVS Radeon is a popular choice for daily use. While basic, its robust nature contributes to perceived safety.
Hero Splendor Plus XTEC / Super Splendor: These models are known for their reliability and widespread service network. The XTEC variants often come with advanced features, including i3S technology for fuel efficiency and some models might offer CBS for improved braking.

Honda SP 125 / Honda Shine: Honda bikes are renowned for their refinement and reliability. The SP 125 and Shine offer good stability and often come with CBS as a standard or optional feature, enhancing braking safety.

Bajaj Pulsar 125 / Pulsar NS125: These models from Bajaj offer a good balance of performance and safety features for their segment. The NS125, in particular, often comes with single-channel ABS, a significant safety upgrade.
Hero Xtreme 125R: This model is highlighted for its Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), offering better stopping control.

2. Scooters: Scooters are incredibly popular for urban commutes, and manufacturers are increasingly focusing on safety.

TVS Jupiter: Recognized as one of the most reliable petrol scooters, the TVS Jupiter offers good stability and generally comes with CBS for effective braking.
Honda Activa 6G: The undisputed king of scooters, the Activa 6G, is known for its reliability and wide user base. It features CBS, enhancing braking performance.
Suzuki Access 125: Another strong contender in the 125cc scooter segment, the Access 125 is known for its comfortable ride and often includes CBS.
Bajaj Chetak (Electric): Leading the electric segment for reliability and build quality, the Bajaj Chetak offers a seamless and stable ride. Electric scooters often benefit from a lower center of gravity, which can contribute to stability.
Ather 450X/S/Apex (Electric): These performance-oriented electric scooters come with advanced features like combined braking and a robust chassis, offering a secure riding experience.
TVS iQube (Electric): The TVS iQube offers solid build quality and features that contribute to a safe ride.

3. Performance and Premium Motorcycles (150cc and above): As you move up the displacement ladder, safety features become more advanced and commonplace.
TVS Apache RTR 160 (Dual Channel ABS variants): While also available in lower variants, the RTR 160 with dual-channel ABS significantly improves braking control and is a strong contender for safety in its class.
Yamaha MT-15 V2 (Dual Channel ABS): The Yamaha MT-15 offers excellent handling and the added safety net of dual-channel ABS, making it a relatively safer option in the sporty naked segment.
KTM 200 Duke (Dual Channel ABS): KTM bikes are known for their performance, and the 200 Duke with dual-channel ABS provides crucial braking stability for its spirited nature.
Jawa 42/Yezdi Roadster : Jawa has been consistently updating its models with dual-channel ABS, significantly enhancing the safety of these popular cruisers.

Beyond the Bike: Rider Safety is Paramount
While a safe bike is crucial, it’s equally important to remember that rider behavior and protective gear play the most significant roles in accident prevention and injury mitigation.

Always wear a certified helmet: An ISI-certified helmet is mandatory in India, but opting for internationally certified helmets (like DOT, ECE, or SNELL) offers even higher levels of protection. Ensure it’s a proper fit and the strap is securely fastened.

Wear appropriate riding gear: This includes riding jackets with armor, gloves, knee and elbow guards, and sturdy footwear.

Adhere to traffic rules: Follow speed limits, maintain safe distances, and obey all traffic signals.

Practice defensive riding: Be aware of your surroundings, anticipate potential hazards, and ride predictably.
Regular bike maintenance: Ensure your brakes, tires, lights, and other vital components are in top working condition.

In conclusion, the Indian two-wheeler market is evolving, with manufacturers increasingly incorporating advanced safety features. While popular models like the TVS Jupiter, Honda Activa, and Hero Splendor continue to be reliable choices, bikes equipped with ABS (especially dual-channel) offer a significant leap in safety.

Ultimately, a combination of a well-equipped, well-maintained two-wheeler and responsible riding practices is the safest way to navigate India’s diverse roads.
