Successful actor Kiran Abbavaram is starring in the upcoming film K-Ramp. This movie is being jointly produced by renowned production houses Hasya Movies and Rudransh Celluloid, with rising producers Razesh Danda and Shiva Bommak backing the project. Jains Nani is directing the film, which is set for a grand theatrical release on October 18, coinciding with the Diwali festival. In an interview held today, director Jains Nani shared the highlights of the film.

He said, “We chose the title K-Ramp because it suits the story. We never thought of it as a vulgar term. The hero’s name in the film is Kumar. According to the story, his character goes through various challenges. Everyone knows the term ‘ramp’, and we felt it aligned well with the character and storyline. Though we considered other titles initially, this one felt catchy and easily memorable.”

He added, “Don’t assume the movie is inappropriate just because a couple of lines in the trailer felt edgy. This is very much a family film. But we always aim to attract the youth audience first. That’s the strategy behind the trailer cut. Once youth like the film, they’ll bring along their families. The story is something every audience can relate to. Parents must watch this film. Some movies only have ‘moments’, but K-Ramp has a solid story, and we’ve designed engaging sequences around it. The interval block will be a surprise.”

Speaking about his background, he said, “I studied at IIT Madras, and while I was there, I made short films. They were well-received, which gave me confidence to step into Tollywood. But cinema has been my passion since childhood. I’ve spent a year and a half working with Kiran Abbavaram. Once he okayed the story, we refined the script based on his body language and energy. During the scripting stage, Kiran shared his thoughts, but never interfered with the story or script. We shot exactly what we planned, with no wastage, and completed filming in 47 days.”

“For the heroine’s role, we chose Yukti and put her through workshops. We rehearsed all key scenes before heading to the shoot. Yukti perfectly fit the character. Both the hero and heroine have strong scope for performance. Audiences will enjoy the film thoroughly if they follow their character arcs. The first half focuses more on the hero’s character, while the second half highlights the heroine’s role.”

“To bring freshness to the story, we chose a Kerala backdrop. A short while into the film, the story shifts to Kerala. This move brings in new visuals, local flavor, and language elements that help create humor. Even the background score incorporates local Kerala styles. We shot most of the film in a beautiful college in Kerala, and were lucky to find the perfect location. We also filmed in scenic spots across the state.”

“Our film features three songs. We didn’t want to disrupt the story’s flow with too many songs. The background score will be a major highlight, and audiences will enjoy it in theatres. There’s tough competition at the box office this Diwali, but our teaser and trailer have received a great response. We wish success for all films, but we hope ours becomes a bigger hit. We’re inviting people to the theatres for fun, and that fun is guaranteed throughout. We’re not stressed about the result, because we’ve watched the film many times during post-production and are confident about the entertainment it delivers. Audiences will thoroughly enjoy it. Kamalini Jethmalani plays a small guest role, with hilarious scenes alongside Naresh. Personally, I love energetic, fun-filled films. Some new projects are under discussion, and I’ll share details after K-Ramp releases.”

Silver just hit $50 an ounce, the highest price in four decades

New York

Gold isn’t the only precious metal on a gangbusters rally.

Silver prices have surged roughly 75% this year, boosted by investors seeking out safe havens, plus strong industrial demand and lingering supply deficits.

Spot silver prices hit a record high $51 a troy ounce on Thursday, breaching the $50 threshold for the first time since 1980.

Traders have turned to hard assets like gold and silver this year as safe investments and tools to hedge against geopolitical instability and economic uncertainty, from concerns about tariffs and inflation to worries about Federal Reserve independence and government debt burdens.

Silver has been on a tear, supported by momentum from gold’s record-breaking rally. The metal is considered a cheaper, alternative safe haven investment to gold, which just hit $4,000 a troy ounce for the first time ever.

“There’s just a lot of concern about the global economy, and when that happens, people turn to hard assets like silver”

“Strong and growing demand for silver, combined with a persistent supply deficit, is a recipe for higher prices”

Under-Construction Uppal-Narapally Flyover Pillars Become Billboards

0

Hyderabad, 11th Oct 2025- The long-delayed Uppal-Narapally elevated corridor in Hyderabad has found an unexpected secondary function for its towering, unfinished pillars, a canvas for a fierce  ‘poster war’.

What was intended to be a vital piece of infrastructure to ease traffic congestion has, over its protracted construction period, become a highly visible site for advertisements from obituary posters to festival greetings for all religions.

The six-lane flyover, which connects Uppal Ring Road to Narapally and is touted to be the second-longest in Telangana upon completion, has been a source of significant public inconvenience for years.

The project, whose foundation was reportedly laid in May 2018 with an expected completion timeline of 18 months, is still far from finished, with new deadlines now extending to late 2026.

Pillars as Billboards

The construction pillars, standing stark and gray along the busy stretch, have been repeatedly plastered with large-format posters and flex banners, transforming them into de-facto public billboards.

State government officials have recently reiterated their commitment to expediting the work, with the Telangana Roads and Buildings Minister inspecting the site and setting a new target for completion by Dasara 2026.

Until that time, the pillars of the Uppal-Narapally elevated corridor are likely to continue serving their unanticipated role: as advertisement billboards.

Cast : Varun Sandesh,Madhulika Varanasi,Surya,  Kalpa Latha, Muralidar Goud, Ravi Varma, Kashishh Rajput,Duvvasi Mohan

Music: Subhash Anand,Gyani

Producer: Balgam Jagdesh

Director: Aryan Subhan S.K

Release date: 10th October 2025

It’s a crime thriller movie, Kashi (Varun Sandesh) is a constable in Molika police station, in that area a missing girl case gets reported, constable Varun Sandesh and constable Bhadram (Duvvasi Mohan) and station SI(Balgam Ganesh)  didn’t pay much attention to the case.

The first half goes about in establishing the characters especially Varun Sandesh family Kalpa Latha as his sister, Ravi Varma as MLC and his vagabond son and his good and bad relationships with his friends in college.

Once Varun Sandesh’s niece(Nithya sri) goes missing and later found dead, he intensifies the investigation by talking to his friends from college.

The story picks up momentum in the second half with suspense and investigations.

During investigation by Kashi (Varun Sandesh) the story gets interesting with suspicion/suspense elements, continued serial killings with face of dead being covered by ugly mask and at times investigation hitting roadblocks with no clues to drive the investigation further.

The rest of the story is how Varun Sandesh identifies the killer following the leads as those being killed are only his niece friends from college and the killer motive for the killings.

Varun Sandesh performed well as constable who does the investigation and Duvvasi Mohan performed excellently in an important role.

Madhulika Varanasi has not got much scope to perform in supporting role. Muralidar Goud role as doctor is okay doing all the postmortems of all the victims and establishing the fact that all the killing patterns are same and are being done by same person.

Producer Balagam Jagadeesh cameo as SI is okay.

Bhavya Sri did an excellent job initially as bubbly college girl and later with dark shades getting into revenge mode for being insulted for physical deformity.

It’s an above average film, if you are a fan of crime thrillers you will like it.
