ZEE5, India’s leading homegrown OTT platform, is set to premiere its upcoming Telugu original series ‘D/o Prasad Rao: Kanabadutaledu’ on 31st October 2025. The series is directed by Poluru Krishna and produced by South Indian Screens, the makers of successful titles such as ‘Recee’ and ‘Viraatapalem: PC Meena Reporting’.

Featuring acclaimed Tollywood actors Rajeev Kanakala as Prasad Rao, alongside Udaya Bhanu in a pivotal role and rising OTT star Vasanthika as Swathi, the story unfolds as a deeply emotional and suspenseful thriller.

At its core, it’s a story of a father’s (played by actor Rajeev Kanakala) relentless search for his missing daughter (played by actress Vasanthika). What begins as a desperate quest soon unravels into a trail of secrets, betrayals, and shocking truths hidden beneath everyday lives. With every step closer to the truth, the lines between love, loss, and deception grow thinner, pulling viewers into an emotional yet suspense-filled journey.

Mithra Mandali trailer was unveiled at a grand event at AAA Cinemas in Hyderabad, instantly grabbing attention with its quirky characters and non-stop humor. Featuring Priyadarshi, Niharika N M, Vishnu Oi, Rag Mayur, and Prasad Behara, the trailer showcases a gang of eccentric misfits caught in bizarre situations, delivering punchy one-liners and hilarious antics that hint at a laughter-filled ride.

From over-the-top situations, meme-worthy moments to clever meme references, the trailer delivers a high-energy blend of chaos and comedy. Priyadarshi once again nails a relatable, laid-back character, while Vishnu Oi and Prasad Behara shine with their comic chemistry. Adding to the madness are Vennela Kishore as a quirky cop, Important character Satya, and a fun cameo by Anudeep KV – all bringing their signature humor to the table.

Directed by Vijayendar S and backed by Bunny Vas under BV Works, the film appears to blend humor, youthful mischief, and mystery in equal measure. With vibrant visuals, catchy dialogues, and a madcap tone throughout, the trailer sets the stage for Mithra Mandali to be a perfect Diwali entertainer when it hits theatres on October 16th.

Kalyan Manthina, Bhanu Pratapa, and Dr Vijender Reddy Teegala are the producers. Somaraju Penmatsa is the co-producer. RR Dhruvan is the music director, while Siddharth SJ is the cinematographer. Editing is helmed by Peekay. Art and costumes are by Gandhi Nadikudikar and Shilpa Tanguturu, respectively.

Reports suggesting that producer D. V. V. Danayya lost money on his latest venture, the Pawan Kalyan-starrer action drama They Call Him OG.

After the initial hype and euphoria now the box collections are pathetic with 10% occupancy for each show.

Industry reports indicate that They Call Him OG was made on a staggering budget of ₹200–250 crore, with a significant portion reportedly going toward Pawan Kalyan’s remuneration.

When distributors are calling for distributor shares producer DVV Danayya is not answering their calls in the fear of their request for any returns to compensate for their loss.

The regular shooting of “Mahanaga”, one of the 15 films launched simultaneously by Bhimavaram Talkies (which earned a place in world records for this feat), has officially begun. The film stars senior actor Suman, hero Ramakant, and introduces heroine Shravani Muppirala. The opening scene was shot with a ceremonial clap by K.L. Damodar Prasad, President of the Producers’ Council, while noted director Relangi Narasimha Rao served as the honorary director for the muhurat shot.

Under the banner of Bhimavaram Talkies, this film is being produced by Thummalapalli Rama Satyanarayana and directed by Uday Bhaskar Vagdevi. The cast also includes: Sreekavya, Tanguturu Ramakrishna, Bus Stop Koteshwar Rao, Jabardasth Apparao, Subbalakshmi, T.R.S., Dheeraj Appaji, Sandhya Varshini Etc. The first schedule of the film will be completed in Hyderabad, and the second schedule will take place in and around Tadepalligudem. Rama Satyanarayana, who made history by launching 15 films at once, now aims to release all of them within a year and set yet another record. The guests at the event conveyed their best wishes for this achievement.
