Dr. Prathani Ramakrishna Goud’s RK Films, set for a grand theatrical release on the 21st of this month*
“Sardar Sarvai Papanna” is an animation movie based on the life story of the historic warrior Sardar Sarvai Papanna, who earned fame as the “Bahujan Emperor.” The film has been written, directed and produced by Venkatesh Goud Lingampally. The movie is presented by V.G. Movie Makers, with Deepak Nyathi overseeing production responsibilities. The animation movie is gearing up for a grand theatrical release on the 21st of this month through Dr. Prathani Ramakrishna Goud’s RK Films. The pre-release event of “Sardar Sarvai Papanna” was held grandly in Hyderabad today in the presence of several prominent personalities from the film and political fields.
Dr. Prathani Ramakrishna Goud said: “Thank you to everyone who accepted our invitation and attended this event as guests. On the occasion of Sardar Sarvai Papanna’s birth anniversary, we are releasing this film on a large scale across both Telugu states on the 21st through our RK Films. Sardar Papanna was a brave warrior who protected poor people from oppressive taxation. He united people from weaker and backward communities and fought for their rights. He conquered 30 forts and even revolted against the Golconda Fort. Everyone should take inspiration from such a courageous leader. I made a film on Sarvai Papanna 25 years ago. At that time, there was not much awareness about him among the people. Today, statues of Sardar Papanna can be found across villages, and people have come to know about his history. I congratulate Venkatesh Goud for making a film based on the life and legacy of such a great warrior. I wish the movie “Sardar Sarvai Papanna” a grand success.”
Director and Producer Venkatesh Goud Lingampally said: “We are holding this pre-release event today on the occasion of Sardar Sarvai Papanna’s 376th birth anniversary. I collected information about Papanna from several historical books and used it to make this film. I believe our movie will provide a massive cinematic experience similar to Baahubali. Within my limited resources, I put in tremendous effort, time and money to make this film. I request audiences to support and appreciate our movie.”
Actress Payal Mukherjee said: “Some scenes from “Sardar Sarvai Papanna” were screened at this event. I liked all those scenes very much. I believe the entire movie will also be equally impressive and will appeal to everyone. I wish the film great success.”
Singer Yepuri Somanna said: “Millions of Bahujan people are eagerly waiting to watch this film. Sardar Sarvai Papanna was a great warrior who united people from all communities and led a victorious guerrilla struggle. A film based on the history of such a great warrior will certainly become a success.”
Prominent writer and journalist Ponna Ravichandra said: “Many people have distorted the history of Sardar Sarvai Papanna. However, director-producer Venkatesh Goud has thoroughly studied his history and is now bringing the true story before the people. Former MP Madhu Yaskhi Goud said: “Sardar Sarvai Papanna was a warrior who worked towards establishing an egalitarian society. Today marks his 376th birth anniversary. Today, the Telangana government is installing a statue of Sardar Sarvai Papanna on Tank Bund. This is a day when the long-standing wish of lakhs of people is being fulfilled. I congratulate Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and Minister Ponnam Prabhakar for this initiative. Similarly, former Telangana Legislative Council Chairman Swamy Goud travelled from village to village and played an important role in getting statues of Sardar Sarvai Papanna installed. I wholeheartedly congratulate director-producer Venkatesh Goud for bringing the history of such a great warrior alive on screen. I salute him. Ramakrishna Goud, who is releasing this film, also has the distinction of making a film on Sarvai Papanna back in 2003. I wish him and this film great success.”
