On the occasion of Mother’s Day, Andhra Pradesh Home Minister Vangalapudi Anitha released the heartfelt song “Amma” from the upcoming movie Friday. The film features Diya Raj, Inaya Sultana, Rihana, Vikas Vasishta, and Rohith Boddapati in the lead roles.

Produced by Kesanakurthi Srinivas under the banner of Sri Ganesh Entertainments, Friday is a unique suspense thriller directed by Eswar Babu Dhulipudi.

The film has completed its shooting and is currently in the post-production phase. Posters released earlier have already generated significant buzz and heightened expectations around the film.

The newly released song “Amma,” dedicated to celebrating a mother’s love, was launched by Minister Anitha on Sunday. After watching the song, she praised the film’s team for beautifully capturing the essence of maternal affection. She extended her best wishes to the entire cast and crew.

The song has been sung soulfully by Snigdha Nayani, with lyrics penned by Madhu Kiran M. that are said to deeply move listeners. The music, composed by Prajwal Krish, is reportedly touching the hearts of many. The song is now going viral online as a Mother’s Day special.

During the song launch, Kalpika Ganesh, who contributed a special video segment and attended the event, shared her thoughts: “I’ve known Snigdha for the past 10 years, and I’m familiar with her journey with her mother. When a girl is born, there’s already a mother within her, even if she doesn’t realize it.

You don’t have to give birth to a child to understand the emotion of motherhood. My contribution was simply one woman supporting another. It was a small gesture- a special video I dedicated to my mother and to all mothers out there.”

This new film explores how a mother’s emotional world affects her unborn child — the essence of pregnancy and motherhood. On this Mother’s Day, let’s remember two legendary women: Maharani Jija Bai, mother of Shivaji, and Jaivanta Bai, mother of Maharana Pratap. They raised their sons to uphold Dharma and protect their land.

I believe this film will inspire parents to raise children with the strength to stand for what’s right. This song is dedicated to the mothers of soldiers — and most of all, to our producer’s mother. Following his father Ilaiyaraaja’s path and establishing his own unique identity as a music director, Yuvan Shankar Raja has also sung many super-duper hit songs as a singer.

Especially, Yuvan Shankar Raja, who sang a few Tamil songs under Ilaiyaraaja’s music direction, has for the first time directly sung a song in Telugu for the movie ‘Shashti Poorthi’.

Producer Rupesh and director Pavan Prabha expressed their immense happiness at receiving that credit and luck.

Starring Rajendra Prasad and Archana in key roles, and Rupesh and Aakanksha Singh as the lead pair, the movie ‘Shashti Poorthi’, directed by Pavan Prabha and produced by Rupesh under the MAA AAIE Productions banner, is set to release on the 30th of this month.

Based on the information, the movie ‘Shashti Poorthi’ is scheduled to be released on May 30, 2025.

After the super success of Sivarapalli, Rag Mayur has been on a signing spree! First up, his special appearance in the latest film Subham, produced by Samantha Ruth Prabhu and directed by Praveen Kandregula, is garnering acclaim. 

“I wanted to thank Samantha garu and Parveen garu for the opportunity,” says Rag Mayur. “My character (Maridesh) Babu is like an extension to what I have done in Cinema Bandi.

I loved the quirkiness and the fun spin my character brings, so it was a role that I couldn’t resist. I am glad to see the response for my character, and even happier that the film became a super success.”

Rag Mayur is next seen in director Praveen Kandregula’s third film, Paradha. The actor is paired opposite Anupama Parameswaran. “It’s a full-length role, the way my character is designed and woven into the narrative will be interesting,” he says, adding that the film will be a new social drama promising a unique and unforgettable cinematic experience.”

The actor is shooting for another film, a buddy comedy, bankrolled by GA2. He also has Garividi Lakshmi under People Media Factory that is progressing briskly.

The film is based on the inspiring story of the iconic Burra Katha artist Garividi Lakshmi from North Andhra Pradesh. “What’s heartening to see all the characters I am doing are different from each other. So, the roles are giving me an opportunity to try different things and be versatile.

Working with top production houses is giving me better insights into filmmaking. I am blessed to get great opportunities to work with wonderful technicians. Conversations with them are bringing a different dimension to my acting,” shares Rag Mayur.

Vaibhavam, a feel-good comedy drama written and directed by debutant Sathvik, is all set for a grand theatrical release on 23rd May 2025.

Produced by Rama Devi Productions LLP, Vaibhavam features debutants Ruthvik and Iqra Idrisi as the lead pair along with a bunch of talented actors cherry- picked from a casting call.

Recently, the film completed its censor formalities, receiving a clean U certificate, something which is becoming rare now-a-days.

The makers are thrilled with the response they got from the audience for the two songs that were released earlier.

Director Sathvik hopes that Vaibhavam will live up to the title and the Telugu audience will find it to be glorious.
