Set in the Eastern Ghats along the Andhra-Odisha border, the story revolves around the tribal community’s involvement in the illegal ganja trade.

The Naidu brothers, played by Ravindra Vijay and Chaitanya Rao Madadi, control the high-grade “Sheelavathi” ganja produced in the region and supply it to a large cartel run by Mahaaveer (Jisshu Sengupta).

However, the Ghaati tribal laborers transporting the ganja are mistreated and underpaid. Desi Raju (Vikram Prabhu) and his love interest Sheelavathi (Anushka Shetty) devise a plan to gain their rightful share by converting the ganja into a liquid and exporting it themselves to earn more money and spend on the welfare of tribals.

This new business upsets the Naidu brothers, who vow to destroy the Ghaati people. The plot then follows the conflict that escalates, with Sheelavathi’s character transforming from a victim to a legendary figure seeking justice for her people and her bid to end the Ganja smuggling.

Anushka’s performance is awesome as Ghatti transporting Ganja and later in revenge drama action episodes going against the drug cartel.

Movie works in parts, in few portions it’s unrealistic, Jagapati Babu’s role as a police officer is ok who drives the story forward.

Atharvaa Murali’s Tunnel Trailer Promises Edge Of The Seat Experience

0

Atharvaa Murali, who enjoys a strong fan base in both Tamil and Telugu cinema, is back with another intriguing project Thanal, releasing in Telugu as Tunnel. This racy action thriller, packed with intense emotion, is directed by Ravindra Madhava and stars Lavanya Tripathi as the female lead, with Ashwin Kakumanu portraying the antagonist.

Set for a theatrical release on September 12, the Telugu version is being presented by A Raju Nayak under Lachuram Productions. Ahead of the release, the makers have unveiled a powerful Telugu trailer.

Tunnel centres on an intense face-off between two men on opposing sides of the law- a newly recruited police officer (Atharvaa Murali) and a former soldier turned fugitive (Ashwin Kakumanu). But the film is much more than a conventional manhunt. It delves into how a single life-altering event drives two individuals down dramatically different paths, one choosing justice, the other descending into chaos.

At its core, Tunnel is a haunting exploration of trauma, choice, and consequence. Alongside edge-of-the-seat thrills, the narrative also offers a compelling romantic subplot and emotionally charged moments.

Director Ravindra Madhava weaves the story with gripping intensity, while Atharvaa Murali shines as the earnest young cop. Lavanya Tripathi brings grace and innocence to her role, and Ashwin Kakumanu delivers a powerful performance as the tormented antagonist.

On the technical front, the trailer looks polished and promising. The film boasts a strong crew, with Justin Prabhakaran composing the music, Sakthi Saravanan handling cinematography, and Kalaivanan in charge of editing.

With its gripping narrative and emotionally layered storytelling, Tunnel sets high expectations as it races toward its theatrical release.

Rashmika Enters the Fray Supporting Vijay Devarakonda

0

We don’t know the exact context, but in one video, Rashmika tells Vijay Deverakonda, “I won’t do films with you for a long time… then you’ll realize.” It’s true that after “Geetha Govindam,” Deverakonda has not had a hit. For that matter, even “Dear Comrade,” in which they both starred, failed to impress the audience.

Setting that aside, Mandanna, who has became a pan-India star with films like “Pushpa,” “Animal,” and “Chhava,” and is currently only doing heroine-oriented movies in Telugu, has entered the fray for her “Dear Comrade.”

To generate buzz for Deverakonda’s film, she has allotted her dates for the Rowdy Star’s latest project.

Crushmika is starring in Vijay’s untitled film, which is directed by Rahul Sankrityayan, who previously directed the moderately successful “Taxiwala” with Vijay. This combination is definitely going to be a huge help to the project. Moreover, Rashmika doesn’t just sign a movie casually, and her success rate is proof of this.

If you look closely at her decision to star in “Robin Hood” with Venky Kudumula after “Chalo” and “Bheeshma,” and then later drop out of the film, citing scheduling conflicts, it strengthens the above argument. In any case, Rashmika and Vijay Deverakonda pairing up for the third time is sure to be a special attraction for this film.

“Sheelavathi in ‘Ghaati’ is an amazing character. I have never played a character like this before. It has many beautiful shades. This film was a departure from my comfort zone.”

“In films like ‘Arundhati,’ ‘Rudhramadevi,’ ‘Baahubali,’ and ‘Bhaagamathie,’ I played very strong roles. The character of Sheelavathi in ‘Ghaati’ is also just as strong but has a different shade.”

“Every woman, even if she seems simple and delicate, stands like a strong pillar when a situation demands it. That’s a great quality in women. Krish garu has crafted such a powerful character.”

“When Krish garu and writer Srinivas garu narrated the story, the culture seemed very interesting. After we went to the locations, I felt an excitement about showing the audience a new character, a new culture, and a new visual.”

BRS Internal strife and Kavitha expulsion repercussions

0

The Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) has suspended its legislative council member, K. Kavitha, citing “anti-party activities.” The decision, made by party president and her father, K. Chandrashekar Rao (KCR), follows months of escalating internal friction and comes after Kavitha publicly criticized senior party leaders, including her cousin T. Harish Rao and J. Santosh Kumar.

The Cause of the Conflict
The suspension of Kavitha stems from her recent public remarks regarding the Kaleshwaram Lift Irrigation Scheme. The current Telangana government has initiated a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) probe into alleged irregularities in the project, which was built during the BRS’s time in power.

In response, Kavitha publicly accused her cousins, Harish Rao (who was the Irrigation Minister) and J. Santosh Kumar, of being responsible for the corruption and for damaging her father’s image. She also alleged that they have a “tacit understanding” with the current Chief Minister, A. Revanth Reddy, to tarnish KCR’s reputation.

This public outburst was the culmination of a long-standing rift. Kavitha had previously hinted at internal conspiracies and had been sidelined within the party, including being removed from her position as the president of a BRS-affiliated coal miners’ union. Her public statements were seen as a direct challenge to the party’s leadership and its handling of internal affairs.

Political Fallout and Party’s Response
The BRS’s decision to suspend Kavitha, a prominent party figure and KCR’s daughter, has sent shockwaves through Telangana politics. The move is widely seen as a sign that the party leadership, under KCR, is prioritizing party unity over family ties. BRS leaders have publicly supported the decision, stating that nobody is bigger than the party and that Kavitha’s actions were causing confusion among the party’s rank and file.

The suspension has provided ammunition to rival parties like the Congress and the BJP, who may use this internal conflict to their advantage to de-stabilize BRS. Kavitha has since resigned from both the BRS and her position as an MLC. The future of her political career and her relationship with her family and former party remain uncertain.
