APSFTVTDC Chairman Bharath Bhushan, APFDC MD Viswanathan Hold High-Level Meeting with AP Chief Secretary Sai Prasad to Boost Andhra Pradesh’s Film Industry

A high-level meeting was held today between Andhra Pradesh Chief Secretary Sai Prasad, APSFTVTDC Chairman Bharat Bhushan, APFDC Managing Director Viswanathan, and senior officials from various government departments to discuss key initiatives aimed at strengthening and accelerating the growth of the film industry in Andhra Pradesh.

The meeting focused on creating a filmmaker-friendly ecosystem by simplifying and expediting the process of obtaining film shooting permissions across the state. Detailed discussions were held on introducing a fast-track approval system and a single-window clearance mechanism to ensure timely permissions and seamless coordination among all concerned government departments.

Speaking after the meeting, APSFTVTDC Chairman Bharat Bhushan said the Andhra Pradesh Government is committed to making the state a preferred destination for film production. He stated that extensive discussions were held with officials from various departments to formulate a streamlined process that would enable filmmakers to obtain shooting permissions quickly and without procedural delays.

Bharat Bhushan expressed confidence over the positive response received from all participating departments and said the proposed single-window system would significantly improve the ease of doing business for the film industry. Although Andhra Pradesh is already witnessing a growing number of film shoots, the government aims to further strengthen the ecosystem by implementing a fast-track approval mechanism that ensures transparency, efficiency, and convenience. He added that the new system will be introduced soon, with detailed guidelines to be announced in the coming days.

The meeting was attended by Andhra Pradesh Chief Secretary Sai Prasad, APFDC Managing Director Viswanathan, Principal Secretary Kumar Vishwajeet, PCCF Chalapathi Rao, CCF N. N. Rao, Shashi Bhushan Kumar, Kanthilal Dande, Suresh Kumar, Sampath Kumar, Yuvaraj, Kannababu, Amrapali, Praveen Aditya, Shubham Bansal, Bharani, Padmavathi, Venkataramana, and several other senior officials from various government departments, who extended their support to the initiative and contributed to the successful discussions aimed at promoting the growth of the film industry in Andhra Pradesh.
