Mrityunjay is crime investigation action thriller, Mrityunjay(Sree Vishnu) is a journalist in Swetcha Media who specializes in obituary advertisements but he has more interest in  crime journalism.

During such death visits for obituaries he gets suspicious of recent electric shock deaths.He gets moved by the victim’s young daughter’s pain and decides to investigate the issue further.

Upon further investigation he comes to a conclusion that it’s a work of contract killer, who is very shrewd and leaves no clue behind.

Meanwhile senior police officer Reba Monica who investigates those deaths comes to the conclusion that those were accidental deaths.

Rest of the story how Sree Vishnu investigates those deaths to reach the contract killer with his friends gang Nellore Sudarshan,Macha Ravi to prevent further crimes and how  he convinces Reba Monica that contract Killer was responsible for those deaths and how the contract killer is brought to Justice.

It’s a film with linear narration with investigative twists and cat and mouse games.

Chinna was okay in a supporting role as constable.

Sree Vishnu and Reba Monica performances are okay, the antagonist contract  killer performance was intense.

Nellore Sudharshan and Macha Ravi performances in supporting roles stand out.

In terms of shock value he film has nothing new to offer in crime investigation thriller genre.
