Under the banner of Sri Adi Varaha Productions, presented by Ajay KR and produced by Kashi Visalakshi Balusu, acclaimed filmmaker M.S. Raju has directed the upcoming film Agadha. The film stars Kamakshi Bhaskarla, Shravan Reddy, Ulka Gupta, Jovika Vijaykumar, Bhanu Chander, Sijju, Vanitha Vijaykumar, Roshan Basheer, Shreya Rani Reddy, Viva Raghava, Robert Master, Arna Muller, and Kanakavva in pivotal roles.
Agadha is all set for a grand theatrical release on August 14. The film’s teaser has already been trending on YouTube. The makers have now unveiled a special making video titled “The Origin of Agadha,” offering fascinating insights into the making of this ambitious project.
Speaking on the occasion, M.S. Raju said:
“No matter how many films I have produced or directed, I never feel completely settled. Every film is a new experience and a fresh challenge. Throughout my career, films like Devi, Manasantha Nuvve, Okkadu, Varsham, and Nuvvostanante Nenoddantana challenged me immensely in terms of story and screenplay. Agadha has been another such challenge.
From the moment I conceived this story, I knew it would demand an extraordinary journey. I wanted to create episodes that audiences had never experienced before. I travelled across several states, visited remote villages steeped in superstition, and met people living amidst such beliefs.
During one such visit, I witnessed a woman performing rituals believed to expel evil spirits. That encounter inspired the character of Mahadevi. To balance her powerful presence, I created the equally compelling character of Simha. After considering many actors, I found Simha in Shravan Reddy.
A film of this scale requires strong production support. Sri Adi Varaha Productions and producer Kashi Visalakshi Balusu stood firmly behind me, allowing me to focus entirely on filmmaking.
The role of Ulka is portrayed by an actress from Mumbai. Jovika and Sijju have delivered outstanding performances. Nani’s cinematography is exceptional. We conducted extensive research for both the story and screenplay. I wanted actors who would truly own their characters, and I was fortunate to find such an incredible cast. Chaitanya made valuable contributions to the script and additional screenplay. The dream I envisioned will finally be revealed to audiences on August 14.”

Kamakshi Bhaskarla said:
“M.S. Raju garu has redefined Telugu cinema in many ways. Working with such a legendary filmmaker has been an incredible honour, and I learnt so much from him. The journey of Agadha has been immensely fulfilling. I personally researched the lives of people like those portrayed in the film to better understand their lifestyle and daily routines. Every scene is unique, with several moments that will leave audiences with goosebumps. We are excited to bring Agadha to theatres on August 14 and hope everyone embraces it.”
Shravan Reddy said:
“Compared to Dirty Hari, this has been a completely new experience with M.S. Raju garu. My character has multiple layers and is one of the most challenging roles I’ve played. We filmed in several unique locations and overcame numerous hurdles during production. Agadha is truly an offbeat film, and this journey has taught me a great deal.”
Ulka Gupta said:

The film has turned out brilliantly. Success is never a matter of luck alone—it comes through perseverance, patience, and hard work. Throughout the journey, we kept encouraging Raju garu never to lose heart.”
Cinematographer Nani Chamidishetty said:

Music Director Rakesh Venkatapuram said:

This is far from an ordinary film and demanded a completely unique sonic identity. Experiencing the background score in theatres will offer audiences something truly special.”

“Agadha features a fresh and distinctive editing style that will keep audiences on the edge of their seats. The story is full of surprises and impossible to predict.”
