A highly accomplished theatre artiste, Ravi Anand has earned the appreciation of none other than Padma Shri and Natakireeti Rajendra Prasad, who acknowledged his acting prowess with heartfelt admiration.
For years, family responsibilities kept Ravi Anand rooted in Kakinada, limiting his appearances in films to occasional roles despite his immense talent. Now, with his children having completed their education and settled into their careers, he has decided to transform his lifelong passion into a full-time profession. He is all set to relocate from Kakinada to Hyderabad and pursue acting as a professional artist.
Ravi Anand made his film debut with Shivakasipuram” and has since appeared in several notable films, including “Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy, Narappa, Mahanati, Dear Comrade, Annadhatha Sukhibhava, Bedurulanka 2012, Ambajipeta Marriage Band, Neethone Hai Hai, Bachhala Malli, Majaka, Full Bottle, Devagudi, and the acclaimed web series Chadarangam. He has shared screen space with distinguished actors like Rajendra Prasad and Rao Ramesh, leaving a lasting impression with every performance.
Driven by his creative aspirations, Ravi Anand has also established a production banner named Sayankalam Chitralu, with the vision of producing meaningful cinema in the future. He co-produced Gedela Raju, starring Raghu Kunche in the title role, and delivered a powerful performance as Shivayya”, earning widespread appreciation from audiences and critics alike. Produced and directed by fellow Kakinada native Chaitanya Moturi, the film enjoyed a successful theatrical run and is currently trending on both Aha and Amazon Prime Video!!
Beyond cinema, Ravi Anand has been serving as the President of the Kakinada Furniture Shops Association for the past 15 years. He is also the General Secretary of the historic Young Men’s Happy Club (YMHC), a prestigious 116-year-old cultural institution, where he continues to play a vital role in promoting arts and theatre in Kakinada. Inspired by the legendary S. V. Ranga Rao, Ravi Anand is currently playing a significant role in Guvvala Cheruvu Gattu, an Amazon web series directed by Bharath Kamma (Dear Comrade fame), featuring Kiran Abbavaram and Thiruveer. He is also part of Payanam, starring Raghu Kunche.
